This will be my sixth Spotlight show in this semi-annual series. A string of wonderful artists - and appreciative audiences - have created some truly magical evenings!!

Here are the songwriters featured this time "IN THE SPOTLIGHT":

ADAM HOOKS (Madison, Wisconsin): Molly and I first met Adam when we shared a stage last August in Lincoln, Nebraska. This young and energetic performer ripped and bobbed through his set. After the show Molly and I looked at one another and asked "were you listening to those lyrics?....wow!!" A few months later we did our first show in Madison and asked Adam if he'd join us for the performance. That night we got a chance to hear his songs up close..... and once again...wow!! DICCON LEE (Libertyville, Illinois): The first room I saw Diccon light up was in Benton Harbor, three years ago at The Livery open stage. When I met and chatted with him after his set he told me about a cool group that he belonged to: the Lake County Folk Club in Mundelein, north of Chicago. I wound up joining that group. I have attended many LCFC events over the last 3 years and one thing is clear....when "D" (as they call him) is in the room there's a special feeling to the night. Diccon writes great songs and sings them with a fine, clear voice. He is also one hell of a guitarist!!! He has recently joined the folk quartet Compass and brings his vocals and multi-instrumental talents to this fine group. On March 7 I will be training the spotlight on Diccon, but believe me, he's the kind of star who'll be shining back!!!!

b.b. wolfe (Southwest Michigan): b.b. has become such an important part of the Michiana singer-songwriter scene that it's been a bit amazing for me to recall the first time I heard him. It was about 4 years ago when I sat in on a songwriter session at Hoosierdad's music store....just 5 musicians sitting around sharing their songs. I sat next to this guy who nervously announced to the group that he was unsure if he ever wanted to present his songs publicly. That was b.b., and then he proceeded to sing a beautiful and touching song about a friend lost in an auto accident. After that song I turned to him and told him that yes indeed he needed to present his songs in public!!!!!!! A year or so later I was happy to have b.b. in my home studio to record the demos for his first CD A.K.A. b.b. wolfe. Last year he enlisted help of local bluegrass phenoms The Goldmine Pickers and produce a second album, the critically acclaimed Heart Worn Sleeve. For the Spotlight show b.b. will bring his powerful lyrics and impeccable finger-style playing to a familiar setting for him, The Beanery.. www.myspace.com/bbwolfemusic
